Auchroisk Uncharted Whisky Co. Thunderstruck

Beschreibung:
Heavy. Dark. Unctuous. Electrifying.
This single malt is an unapologetic juggernaut. A huge sherry cask influence, absolutely ferocious cask strength, bottled young and un-chill filtered. This spirit was distilled only 7 years ago but it tastes exponentially better than many much older whiskies Dana and I have tried. The oloroso sherry cask has imparted mega colour on the liquid, it is among the darkest and most flavour packed cask samples we have ever seen- there’s simply no substitute for first fill oloroso sherry cask.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
It’s how we felt when we saw the sample! The colour of coca cola, an outrageous depth and sweetness to match, all followed by a cask strength thunderstrike. You’ll be shaking at the knees.
An INSIGHT AND CAVEAT…
When we bottle at natural cask strength, the ABV can change slightly between the last time we measure it and it actually hitting glass. This was measured at 59.9% abv in July of 2024, by the time September rolls around, this might have changed slightly- it’s the nature of real minimal intervention whisky. Likewise, our bottle out-run is our ‘best guess’ for now but until the last bottle is sealed, the exact yield is unknown.
As always…. Un-chill filtered. Natural colour.
